Shoot for the Stars!

Shoot for the Stars!

Franklin D. Roosevelt said during his first inaugural speech “The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.” What a powerful message!

How many times have you found yourself sitting out, or wondering what if you just had the courage?

What are you afraid of? Are you worried that you will be embarrassed or fail? To that I say, so what!

Take a page from a child’s book. Look at how they are so willing to live their lives in ten second increments, to do and be who they choose when they choose to be it.  Observe, their willingness to explore, to not judge, to just be. How does it get better than that?

Challenge yourself. Live your life in 10 second increments try something new, and then don’t judge yourself.

Fear is the thing that holds us back, but is it real? Or, is it the realization of how much we actually lack control. Fear can distract us from that which is most important. It can create worry and self doubt. Does that fear belong to you, or to someone else? Sit with that thought for a bit. How much do you fear in life that was implanted on you by a friend or family member? My guess is probably a lot. Fear can also lead to anger and potentially hatred. We say it is natural to fear that which we do not understand. Who came up with that point of view? Did you know that the same hormone is released for both fear and excitement? Chemically there is no difference between the two. It is just your emotional perception of the situation.  Fear is to blame for many things throughout history like the Holocaust, Salem witch trials, Spanish Inquisition, Crusades, KKK….  The list is a long one.

If you choose to shoot for the stars, to not judge, it opens up all kinds of infinite possibilities. My suggestion for you is to take it 10 seconds at a time and only focus on the present.  Have an idea in your mind as to where you see yourself and goals you would like to achieve, but be willing to accept other opportunities that may come up. Be open to change. Don’t allow yourself to be so focused that you pigeon hole yourself, and remember to let go of limiting beliefs.

Not sure how to achieve these things?  We invite you to join us for a session in Reiki or Access Consciousness Bars, or maybe even learn these therapies for yourself.  Both are wonderful energy healing therapies. By taking a class in either of them you will learn tools and techniques to help you “shoot for the stars” and find true self.
