Initial appointments are 90 minutes; follow-up appointments are 60 minutes. Acupuncture treatments at CCHW are integrative by design. Accessory modalities such as cupping, ear seeding, gua sha, and NET are included with your session and incorporated as needed. Energy medicine (Reiki or Access Consciousness Bars) is available as an add-on.

Payments and Insurance
Payment is due at the time of treatment. Calandra Center for Health & Wellness accepts cash, checks, and all credit cards including FSA/HSA cards. We do not accept insurance, but are happy to provide an itemized bill for submission to your insurance company. Not all services that we offer are covered by health insurance.
We are not a conventional primary care physician
- We do not fulfill any insurance company’s requirement for an in-network primary care physician and we are not in-network with any insurance plan.
- We do not have a 24- hour answering service. It may take more than 24- hours for us to respond via phone. If you need to be seen urgently or have a medical emergency, please go to your nearest emergency room or urgent care.
We do not bill insurance companies
We are happy to provide you an itemized bill for submission to your insurance company. Not all services that we offer are covered by health insurance.
CCHW will not submit a medical claim to insurance on your behalf. We cannot assist you with claim resolution for our services.
Note: We do not have the authority to prescribe medications or drugs, as they are beyond the scope of our license, but we are happy to make referrals as needed.
First time with us?
We recommend that all new clients schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation, especially if you have any questions about your health issues and the modalities we offer. The phone consultation is required for new Acupuncture, NAET, or Lebowitz Protocol clients, followed by an initial 90-minute new-patient appointment.
